Sofwave Skin Tightening

Sofwave is the latest FDA-approved non-invasive treatment for skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. It is suitable for all patients who are affected by signs of ageing. How does Sofwave work?
Sofwave uses a unique synchronous ultrasound parallel beam technology that generates heat in the middle layer of skin, the optimal depth for wrinkle treatment, while bypassing and protecting the outer layer of skin. The emitted sound waves are converted into heat, triggering a healing reaction in the treatment zones. This replenishes the collagen in the skin, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and create a smoother, firmer complexion. Sofwave also has a built-in cooling mechanism that protects the outer layer of skin during treatment.

How long does a typical treatment take?
A single Sofwave treatment takes 60-120 minutes depending on the zones being treated.

When will I see results?
Initial improvements may be visible as early as one week after treatment. However, the process of collagen regeneration can take up to 12 weeks. This means that patients can see continuous improvements in the period of 3 months after the treatment.

What kind of results can i achieve?
Due to Sofwave’s ability to stimulate the body’s production of collagen, the natural protein that gives skin its youthfulness, patients can achieve the following results:

How does Sofwave differentiate from other ultrasonic treatments like HIFU (e.g. Ultherapy (Ulthera®)?
Sofwave is the only device that uses synchronous ultrasound parallel beam technology to increase the collagen content of the skin. The therapy is less painful than HIFU devices thanks to the new technology and integrated cooling. Due to the treatment in the middle layer of the skin (1.5mm depth), there is no risk of nerve damage or fat tissue breakdown, unlike devices with higher penetration depths.
