Long-lasting hair removal with the laser

Hair growth on the face and body is perceived by many as a cosmetic or hygienic nuisance. Laser epilation is a gentle way to remove this unwanted hair for a long time.

  • Laser haarentfernung dermanence zuerich 03

In contrast to other, superficial hair removal options such as shaving, waxing, epilators or depilatory creams, laser therapy affects the hair root and therefore the hair's formation site. We use the Candela GentleMax Pro system for laser hair removal at both locations. The alexandrite wavelength is used for light skin types and the Nd-YAG wavelength for dark skin types.

The light beam is absorbed by the pigment in the hair (melanin), creating a heat effect that specifically destroys the hair root. The surrounding tissue is spared. If the hair contains little melanin (blonde, white hair, very fine hair), the therapy does not work as the laser beam cannot be absorbed. People with dark, thick hair and light skin respond best.

The treatment is most successful when the hair is in the growth phase. As the hair grows in cycles and goes through different phases, several treatments are necessary. A hair reduction of up to 80% is realistic. However, the hair that grows back after the treatment is thinner, lighter and therefore less disturbing than before the treatment.

Hair should not be plucked or epilated for at least four weeks before the treatment. Furthermore, the therapy must not be carried out on tanned skin, so treatment is preferably recommended in the winter months.

The Dermanence team will be happy to provide you with detailed information about the therapy and answer your questions during a consultation.

Initial medical consultation

If you are not sure which aesthetic treatments are best suited to your individual needs, we recommend a no-obligation consultation with one of our dermatologists. The consultation costs CHF 100 and takes about 20 minutes. This amount will be deducted from the cost of your aesthetic treatment. The consultation costs and aesthetic services must be paid directly on site after the procedure. In order to be able to assess your facial skin in the best possible way, please come to the aesthetic consultation without make-up.

Our consultations

Invoice & installment payment

The following payment conditions apply to so-called self-pay services, which are not covered by TARMED and are therefore not covered by health insurance: 30 days total amount, or the option to make partial payments of your choice with attractive interest rates (minimum payment 5% of the outstanding amount per month). In case of insufficient creditworthiness, no invoice can be issued and the amount is due immediately after the treatment on site. If necessary, creditworthiness can be clarified in advance.

Book an appointment online

Appointments that have already been made can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. Please inform us by phone, email, Whatsapp or a voice message on the answering machine. To cancel an appointment booked online, use the cancel button in the confirmation email. If an appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the appointment or not canceled at all (no-show), the patient is liable for compensation. If a treatment can no longer be carried out due to a patient delay, the obligation to pay compensation also applies.
