Your individual acne therapy

A carefree adolescence with clear skin
Acne (acne vulgaris): During puberty and often beyond, between 70-95 percent of men and women suffer from acne. One important reason is the increased production of male hormones, which is why men suffer more frequently from severe acne than women.

The most important factors in acne are sebum overproduction, keratinization and thus clogging of the pores and colonization of the skin with bacteria. Not only internal factors can influence acne, but also external factors such as smoking, oily/comedogenic skin care products, hormone preparations and certain medications. Acne does not only appear on the face, but can also affect the shoulders, back and décolleté. Many sufferers feel uncomfortable in their skin. This need not be the case, as acne is generally a very treatable condition.

Acne therapy

The therapy depends on the form and severity of the acne. In the case of mild forms of acne, a very attractive complexion can be achieved with suitable skin care products. If this measure is not sufficient, local therapy with callus-dissolving, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory substances is carried out. In the case of severe acne, where local therapy is not sufficient and sometimes even scars occur, a tablet treatment with an antibiotic or medication (vitamin A acid preparation) is carried out.

The Dermanence medical team will be happy to discuss the various treatment options with you and accompany you during the desired treatment.

Our medical assistants at reception can also provide you with a care consultation at any time, even without a doctor's appointment.
