Eyelid lift (blepharoplasty)

Give your eyes new expressiveness with a blepharoplasty - for a fresh and youthful look. Blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, is a plastic surgery procedure in which drooping eyelids and bags under the eyes are corrected. In the case of deep-set eyebrows, this procedure can be combined with a direct brow lift if necessary. Your specialist for upper eyelid lifting is Dr Tatjana Lanaras, while Dr Sophia Kaiser specialises in lower eyelid correction and combination procedures in the eyelid area.

Augenlidstraffung blepharoplastik dermanence zuerich 02

As part of the natural ageing process, the elasticity and resilience of the eyelid skin decreases, which is noticeable on the upper eyelid in the form of drooping eyelids. The forehead skin is also subject to this loss of elasticity and the eyebrows can droop, which further emphasises the drooping eyelids. As a result of the ageing process, the fatty tissue surrounding the eyeball can protrude on the lower eyelid, causing bags under the eyes. This can make the eyes appear tired, sad and old. An eyelid lift can help to restore a fresh and youthful appearance.

During an eyelid lift, the excess eyelid skin and, if necessary, additional protruding fat pads and some of the muscle tissue are removed.
