Melasma

Melasma (syn.: chloasma) refers to large brown pigment spots on the face, which are caused by hormonal influences in combination with UV radiation, sometimes due to genetic predisposition. Due to the hormonal influence, women who use hormonal contraception (e.g. the contraceptive pill) or pregnant women are particularly affected. The main areas affected are the forehead, cheeks (zygomatic region) and upper lip. Melasma is a chronic pigmentation disorder that requires a long-term treatment strategy. Possible treatment options include lightening creams (e.g. Cyspera), chemical peelings or laser therapy. The basis of any therapy is consistent sun protection and lightening care products.

Sun spots (age spots)

Age spots are benign, usually sharply defined pigment spots which, as the name suggests, appear more frequently with age. They tend to form on sun-exposed skin areas such as the face, décolleté, forearms or back of the hands. In contrast to freckles, they hardly fade in winter. Age spots are flat and cannot be felt. They are best removed with a laser. At Dermanence, age spots are treated with the Q-switched Nd-YAG laser. The skin must not be tanned or exposed to the sun during laser therapy, so it is mainly carried out in winter.

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

These are dark pigmentations that occur after an inflammatory process such as acne or eczema. These pigmentations sometimes disappear on their own, but can also be very stubborn. Possible treatment options are lightening creams (e.g. Cyspera), chemical peelings or, in a few cases, laser therapy. The basis of any therapy is consistent sun protection and lightening care products.

The consultation costs CHF 100 and takes about 20 minutes. This amount will be deducted from the cost of your aesthetic treatment. The consultation costs and aesthetic services must be paid directly on site after the procedure. In order to be able to assess your facial skin in the best possible way, please come to the aesthetic consultation without make-up.

In case of insufficient creditworthiness, no invoice can be issued and the amount is due immediately after the treatment on site. If necessary, creditworthiness can be clarified in advance.
